I don't like the cowl, but that is just personal. I also would scrap the tailights and use 93 cobra style lights, they look sweet. LX lights also looks great, but the euros..........................
I like the shaved look, but would put Cobra Snakes where the 5.0 emblems were. The headlights look a bit ricey, but that 2 is just a personal thing. Over all subtract the lights I love it!!!!!!!!!

Well I have to give you credit, its a clean car and you did it the way you wanted.

I agree not a big fan of the tail lights, just me, you could have kept them and just installed Red leds that you could get off ebay. I'm impressed you have to be the first person I have seen with the cowl on their car. I think most people probably dont look at it because they are not sure what it looks like. Seems like its a nice piece but I have seen just the plain blank ones and I think I like those alittle more now. Over all I love the shaved handles and locks! Exactly what I was heading toward with my fox. Nice color by the way!

Thanks everyone for all of your comments. I expected to get alot of criticism on the taillights, but like i said, if i could have my CLEAR LX tails and not get tickets, i would do that in a second. I think they are better than the euros too. When i had to get rid of them originally, i swapped on a pair of RED LX tails and they never looked right on my car, since my car has always had a "CLEAR THEME." I got rid of them that winter and bought the Euros, which some people love and some people hate. All i know is that although i dont like them more than my clear LX's, i do like them more than having red ones on my car. Im surprised i received alot heat on the cowl, since alot of people really like that at the shows, maybe i can give you guys different angles. But anyways, i really thank all your comments, and am glad to be in the mustang family (since 99').

Have you ever thought of Red Leds?
There not cheap
Like 17 dollars per pair at Walmart and more elsewhere.
Here some samples for your approval?

I use this car only for show. So that might explain why I have not been confronted by police? Here's one with out blinkers.

Red Leds seem to be the wave of the future.

I first thought of the ones you see on 18 wheel trucks
Not sure how much cutting would have been required tho?
but never heard of capping the OE lights?
Thus, whats every one think?
Is there a bubble gum machine in my future?
I don't use this car for my daily driver.

Wow...pretty incredible dayssleeping. You might be starting a new trend for the future! Better call the invention network now. Funny thing was, here in NY, cops dont like those lights, and they wouldnt like yours too (THEY STILL ARENT RED ENOUGH!) Nice try though.

Thanks for the heads up.
Maybe, someone in the trucking industry has found a way to use those BIG red leds you see on the 18 wheel trailers?
I have also wondered of some sort of red chroming of the plasitic reflecter behind the lense?

Also seen led lights on some of the newer stoplights as well.

Also looking into PC lighting as well

Maybe the circular one could work?
for the drive light?
Well less the fan. LOL

Questions to ask yourself?

#1Are you gonna do the work yourself?

#2 Do you have a garage to work on it?

#3 Do you have the money?

It would probably be cheaper to buy an existing one, than to pay someone to build it.

But lets say your still reading hear with me?
I am also assumming you have a sharp looking 4 cylinder that your wanting to upgrade to an 8?

If you are located near a big city or population center than surely it would do you good to take the bull by the horns and visit a few IMPOUND AUCTIONS.

With time and patience you may find most all the parts you will need in one fowl swoop.

Thus every wrecker or toeing service in your phone is a potential for auctioning cars. Just halfta call and find out? Some may even be on the internet.
Perspective some are only in the paper for 1 or 2 days before happening.
These can be quite promising as there are less scavingers like you and me to run up the bidding.

I have seen a 5.0 go $200.00.
It ran but barely and yes it smoked.

I guess the point I am trying to make is one I heard on the TODAY show years ago.

Lets say, That you wanted to build a 2005 Mustang from a ford dealership one piece at a time. Granted the car fully put together may cost $50,000.
However, if you purchased it one piece at a time it would cost you $500,000.
The saddist part is you still have to put it together.

Anyway, here is a few examples from my neck of the woods.
Granted there are no 5.0s right now but, I keep the links for monthly checking.

Warning not every auction has good deals it just depends on who show up???

Good luck
