i just bought this car 2 weeks ago,and it has a rattle,clunking noise coming from the front end,so i took it to a shop ,the ball joints and tie rod ends are good,but i notices that the inside of the wheel are grinding on the a-arms when you turn the wheel lock to lock,is there supposed to be stops it had a new rack put in a year ago,i also have put new front struts on the car,it still has the factory wheels also.
you can feel the rattle through the steering wheel,it only rattles when your on gravel or bumpy roads.

huh, thats a odd problem. was it a factory type steering rack or aftermarket?

If you have wide tires ont he front they will do that. Someone had put big wheels on ours and didnt do anything to the rack and the front left wheel is chewed up where it has been rubbing. I put in some rack limiters I got from 50resto and that helped a little bit but I still get rubbing when I turn it all the way but its not as bad. As for the rattle Im not sure. Ours also has a rattle in it somewhere and Ive got to see if I can find it. It might be a bad bushing or a loose nut.
