What im going to post is a bit long. The first stang I ever had was a 97 v6. Loved the car, but then sold it because I wanted a GT, and I was promised by my father that he would help me get one (im only 17) . After about a year of waiting, I got a bit desperate and bought a 94 V6 that, lets just say isnt in the best condition. Interior is a bit messed up, and so is the engine. Anyway, a friend of mine recently told me that his brother in law was looking to get rid of his 89 5.0. He want's 1700 for it. Looks like everything is in pretty good condition. Problem is, I dont have the money at the moment. Would it be worth it to actually get a job and work to pay off the car? I know this should be my own personal opinion, but Id like to hear opinions of other fox stang owners.

That all depends on what shape the car is in. If the engine tums strong and there is little to no rust then I would probably buy it. $1700 isnt bad if the car needs a tad bit of work.

Like hotrod said. If the car is in decent condition, then yes it is worth it. I owned a 94 v6 stang, and and have owned several gts. Trust me the gt will be MUCH more fun. Just be carefull and dont get one that is in too bad of shape.

Well... since he is your brother in law. You could probally do some good research on the car and find out how he treated it. A car can really go to waist if you beat the crap out of it. You dont want to buy the car and have everything start failing on you (unless you have the money to fix it). Try to investigate it. You should take some pics of it and post it up.
