I'm really looking into getting a set of 18" rims for my car, but i talked to a few people and they dont recommend it. My car is lowered 2" from eibach sportlines. Will the rims rub on the fenders? I've seen a few 87-93's with 18's, but they generally arent lowered....any suggestions or comments of someone who knows if this is possible????

Well anything is possible. Ive seen a fox with 345 35 17's on the rear! It will take some modding on the fenders and making sure you get the right backspacing on the wheel.

I THINK THE MAIN CONCERN IS THE TIRE SIZE (WIDTH AND HEIGHT) AND THE WIDTH OF THE RIM. BELEIVE IT OR NOT YOU MAY HIT THE EXHAUST PIPE IN THE REAR OR THE REAR OUTTER QUAD SHOCK IF YOU GO TOO WIDE. IF YOU GO WITH AN 18" RIM AND A SHORT TIRE YOU SHOULD CLEAR THE INNER FENDER LIP. I WOULD STICK WITH AN 8" WIDE RIM MAX. OVERALL HEIGHT OF THE TIRE IS WHAT MATTERS. I HAVE 9" WIDE RIMS ON THE REAR OF MY 89 CONVERTIBLE AND I HAD TO PUT SPACERS. ONE GOOD THING TO KNOW IS THAT HATCHBACKS HAVE MORE SPACE THAN COUPES AND COUPES HAVE MORE SPACE THAN CONVERTIBLES. SO IF YOU HAVE A HATCHBACK YOU ARE IN LUCK WIDTH-WISE. GOOD LUCK!
