will X pipe help on a 66?
Looking at beefing up my 200ci in line 6 with dual exhaust, will an X pipe help or do anything or am I better to just run two seperate exhausts in the traditional manner?
what are you going to cross?.....its inline with one manifold....it should all come out of the same place, right?...lol...I think your best bet would be to get one of these...

Wow...those are pretty cool...but I'm not sure an xpipe will do anything with this kind of application....You can try though...if you are going to do dual exhaust, you may as well make it look cool too!....not sure I'd drop all that $$ for the Cylinder head head though...with both of these mods you might get to....what....150rwhp?

I plan ( at least at the moment...LOL) to rebuild the whole engine, heads, cams, pistons, intake, exhaust, rings, bearings etc. preliminary costs are running about $4000. With those heads just out there is still a lot of info to be gained, but hoping to hit between 200 and 250 rwhp and in that light car it should cook.
The nice thing about building up the 6 is virtually no weight gain, as with an 8 not only do you have more engine weight but have to beef up the front end suspension to handle the weight of the bigger engine. this is one reason Shelby got away from the big block 8's because of the weight, reduced speed and handling.
Also the cost is a bit less than droping in an 8 ( or at least the one I want
)
Besides I love to be on the cutting edge of something new
BTW there is a guy out there running less than 10 sec in the quarter with a 250ci.

If an outragous 6 is what you want...go for it....it could be cool!...my 157rwhp in my car is FAST. It feels just as quick as the '04 GT I drove not too long ago.

Yeah, I know, have to keep fixing the weakest link
with $$$$$$
Just got back from shopping for the little tools and stuff to work on things ( sanding blocks, solvent, primer paint, masking material, etc ) , spent almost $300. Going to order a new radiator in about an hour when I get done bringing in all the stuff
Theres another $200. Weatherstriping was delevered yesterday, ordered a new windsheild... My poor credit card
