Hi all from the great white north. I recently acquired a oldie with lots of documentation but no vin tag. Any advice on how i can go about getting vin plate made? Thanks

Marti can do that. They are the same people who run the reports on Mustangs. I think it has to be 68 or newer? Contact them.

The VIN number is stamped under the hood on the left front apron (visable with fender on), and right rear apron (under the fender). If you are talking about the plate on the door, it is actually a 'Warranty Plate'. One can be made by analyzing your Mustangs options. The only thing that could be difficult to determine is the DSO.

Ahhhhhh. So I need to pull the right fender to find the other stamp? That sucks but it would be great to confirm the vin I have on paperwork. Thanks for tip!

no .. look for the # on the top of the left inner apron .. ..it will be the same #
