I was just wondering, on the Mustang vin number when some people sell them why don't they sometimes list the last 5 digits? i know this is the consecutive unit number but i was just wondering. eg - 7RO2SXXXXXX thanks

thats so a thief wont take the complete VIN and fabricate a false data plate, invoice, or whatever.
