You'll probably loose mileage with either. Most of that comes from the added power and your foot will be in the skinny pedal. I have a Whipple in my 08 and the last trip I took; I realized that I lost 2 MPG with the supercharger and tune. Plus I use premium fuel. My best without the supercharger was 26 MPG, trip. I am around 20 MPG now in town. To get 24 MPG with the supercharger is with cruise on and 65-70 MPH. But I'm going to 373's because I have an auto and I'll loose more.

Lmao it is, I didn't think I would ever feel so good about getting less at the pump and more out of my right foot! :-)
