It's too hot to work outside! *whew* I did it anyway.

Gound down the welds on my new passenger side floorpan and driver side trunk floor and coated both with Zero rust on both sides. It has taken a lot of time to finish these 2 pieces. This was my very first welding experience so I had to going back and filling in holes where I'd either blow through or screw up my cutting for the patch. I haven't really kept up but I'd say I probably have 30+ hours in these 2 pieces. They finally came out looking pretty decent. Waiting on my new flange tool to come so I can put in my quarter and door patches now.

Also removed the driver side fender, so I could work in the shade, and started the filler work on it. Since both my front fenders came from my 66 parts car, they have some extra holes near the bottom for the rocker trim brackets. I welded up those holes and applied filler. I managed to get most all of the filler sanded to my liking except for the area at the bottom. I put it on just before calling it a day so I put the fender in the basement to work on at night this week.

<wayne> Excellent! </wayne>

Think what an expert welder you will be after all this......when word's out, every freeloading relative with a mid-80s Camaro will be lined up for free welding work!

Mber should be happy about the progress........if he wasn't laid out on the beach.

Tell me about it. My mom has already asked if I could come weld up their metal porch railing.

Where's your progress report? Get those subframes in?

uh, no. The car's butt end *is* disassembled and all over the shop floor, however, so I take a measure of pride in that

I can report that my Crane elect. module is working A-OK now.

......did I mention that lots of pondering also took place?

Another proud member of the "Jackstand Racing Team" here also. Never even touched the car last weekend - still deciding how to handle the egg-shaped wheel.
