So, if I wanted to sell my styled steels...
I'm not sure that I want to do it. I mean, I've always loved the 65-67 styled steel wheels; but I'm getting a strong urge to move to 17" Torq Thrusts - and it's hard to fight! I can't quite afford to keep the styled steels AND a new set of Torq Thrusts (mainly from a storage stand point); so I would need to sell/auction my current wheels and tires. The wheels are 1966 reproductions and the tires are top-o-the-line Michelin whitewalls (with about 2500 miles on them). What would be a fair price to ask or to start an auction with? I may just decide to keep them, but wanted opinions...
Find out how much the set of rims would be brand new. Then find out how much the tires would be brand new. That would be the most you could possibly get. Start subtracting for wear and tear. Don't forget to take shipping into account. A local person would be willing to pay more than someone who needs them to be shipped. Check ebay for similar listings.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a set of rims & tires unless those tires were the exact ones I wanted. I would rather buy some rims separately and then find the tires I want.

Years ago I sold a set of 16" TT2s and tires on eBay. I was amazed at how quickly the bidding climbed. I was worried I would have to go through the nightmare of shipping them. Luckily a local guy came and looked at them and was interested... I told him I would knock $70 ( can't recall exact amount but it was not $100) off the final price of the auction if he was the highest bidder. Worked like a charm.
