I recently purchased a 1968 mustang that is in pretty rough shape. the body is good but the interior is horrible it still has a good instrument panel and all but the seats are torn and the dash is all messed up. I bought it for 1,000 dollars any way I was looking through yearone's catalog and you can buy the fiberglass scoops and truck lid and other parts for a 68 california special. do you think that I schould restore the car to regular or buy the fiberglass? do you think that it would be cheesy? I know that it used to be a 6 cylinder and I have allready dropped a 351W in it. thanks for the info.

I cant believe I own a mustang now!

gt/cs it, ot's not worth the cost of a resto if you restore stock, but if you resto-mod it it would be. that is if you ever plan on selling it.

Do whatever makes YOU happy....it's your car

I like the GT/CS look and it's just a 6 cylinder car and already has an engine swap done. You won't hurt the value if that is what you are worried about.

But the bottom line again is do what makes yOU happy

Like they said, you already modified it with a 351, why not go all the way? Go for it.

I bought a 68 coupe as well and Im considering the CS clone resto. I like the look and it will probably resale much higher if you choose to sell it.
