if the stars align this weekend, Mberglo, Art, and myself will start a Comp Engineering rollbar install in my 67 FB tomorrow. I plan to take pics and generally document the ensuing disaster for the forum here, if that sounds worthwhile to you guys. I'll stick to the camera so I dont get in the way of the experts' work

Hopefully by Sunday I'll have an initial report - starting with Mber furnishing a Cracker-Barrel-quality breakfast at his shop tomorrow at 0700
That OK by you, Mark?

I'll make the coffee if you bring the Bailey's.

I'm not sure I want anything in my stomach since we'll be welding a rollbar into a perfectly good streetcar. The whole thing is likely to make me queasy.

And it's a good thing I was there. With my tremendous influence, we were able to route the pipes so that no sheetmetal or fiberglass had to die. If it weren't for my heroic efforts, it's hard to say how much blood would be on the ground and on LMan's conscience. B)

UPDATED!

I'm still at a slight pause whilst I get my bars bent....but here are some prelim pics of the initial effort.

Here's the patient in the ER, preparing for minor surgery:

The back was gutted for the bar work...as you can see, my FB was originally a *lovely* Turquiose Aqua

Here Art is, uh, "cleaning his tube." Serious caption contest material here! Art's payment for service rendered is in the box behind him

Here I am, doing what I do best: holding parts while competent people do the work:

Mber grinds the area down for the mounting plate:

...and Art burns some wire, whilst I pilfer a Corona :

I waited for the right moment, but I finally contributed some of my vast automotive knowledge to the project:

here's the main hoop, tacked in place:

and, just for your information, I bet you didnt know Mber has an EXTREMELY RARE 64.5 "Yeungling Special!" One of one! Honest!
