Restomod Power Stearing help

I am going restomod on a 65 Mustang with a 289. I haveinstalled a serpentine system from CVF Racing and will be installing a rack andpinion system from Total Control. Sounds simple, but the bracket for the PSpump will only handle an original style PS pump with a press fit pulley andsteel reservoir. If you are familiar with the OEM PS pump, it is large andgaudy. I was looking for something a little sleeker, but I cannot find a pumpwith original mounting points and press fit pulley. I have looked at manybrands that use a Saginaw Power Steering pump, which from what I can gather isa GM style set up, but I have been unable to locate any specs to determine ifit is a viable substitute. Any help is appreciated.

Look at 1980's econoline vans. They have a saginaw style pump with a press fit pulley. We used one on our 1967 Mustang and used the original aluminum bracket to mount it. We only had to drill one hole in the bracket with some shims, works like a charm. If you want some pictures, just ask.

I checked out the saginaw pump for an 80's Econoline and it wouldn't work. At least it wouldn't work without modifying the bracket, which I wasn't willing to attempt. When CFV Racing says their bracket kit will only support an original style pump they mean it. Thanks for the help though. I'm sure I'll get used to the larger pump.

Why not just go to manual steering? The '65 ain't that big, and when I had one, I drove it without PS every day. It also cleans up the engine compartment when you don't have those hoses and pump.
