Rear bearing help
Rear bearing help
Esteemed list-
Currently my Mustang is in California and I am shipping it home next week (to Virginia). I have a 67 Coupe- V8, 3 speed 289 and a few weeks ago, the drivers side rear bearing disintegrated and was left in a pile of dust. It chewed out part of the housing and ball bearings flew everywhere when I pulled the axle out.
I know how to replace it, but does anyone know how many bearing types are available for this car?
I tried the RW207CCRA and that doesn't work- appears to be too big. I ordered RWF34R and haven't really tried that yet, but that appears to be too big too...
Is the 207L another possibility? I have already ordered one to see, but I need to get this fixed ASAP before I leave to go home and don't have much time left. If there are any other possibilities, I need to know so I can order them and have them ready...
Many thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The inner race should still be on the axle. Can you measure that? You can also measure the axle shaft and the recess in the axle housing. Rock auto shows the dimensions of the bearings.
Also, what about removing the other side to identify the bearing?
Perhaps the rear axle was replaced with one from another car?
