Rag Joint replacement
On my list of things to do yet prior to spring thaw is replacing the steering rag joint. I was just wondering if anyone has done this, and how difficult it is? Also any pointers or words of advice? I already have the replacement so I thought I would get it done before I get the front end alignment done.
Thanks
Thanks
I would replace it with a polyuretahne rag joint, i am sure it is available anywhere but i am sure that NPD has one, www.NPDlink.com and it is really easy to replace very straight foreward.....4 bolts. good luck
I already bought the replacement from CJ Pony Parts, they are only like 45 minutes from my house. CJ's is also only like 10 minutes from Hershey Park, so it is pretty easy to persuade my kids to ride along with me. I just tell them we will stop at Chocloate World on the way home.
Anyway, I went back and found the "how-to" article that Mustang monthly did on the replacement a few months ago as well. It does look pretty straight forward. I think I will try to get it done this weekend, then the only thing left on my TO-DO list is to re-install the electric choke on my carb.
