Just bought a '66 Shelby Clone. Has a 289 HIPO Balanced/blueprinted .030" w/street cam. Will a standard replacement single core aluminum radiator get the job done, or do I need a triple core unit? ANd, where do you suggest I buy?

If you are going to buy one anyway, go with a larger one. My car is .030 and I use a 4 row. 3 row should be fine. Though it's not correct, I am not worried about winning shows.

By the way, make sure you use a fan shoud. That will make a big difference. B)

Highly suggest a 3 or 4 core radiator, 180* thermostat, good aluminum water pump and fresh hoses all around and you can't go wrong.
Good luck!

hEY, thanks for the advice. What's the best place for Mustang parts and upgrades ? I'm new to this. My last project was a '59 Chevy.

I just got done with a two year long restoration of my 67 mustang fastback, that i made into a shelby gt-350 clone. I go to national parts depot for almost everything...you can find them online at www.npdlink.com or mustangs plus www.mustangsplus.com between the two sources you should be able to find everything you need. Good luck and happy hunting.
