Quarter panel rust

Does anyone have a rough estimate how much it would cost to cut out rust on the quarter panel the size of a palm and weld in new sheet metal? Just recently got my first classic and she's a 68er so would like to get rid of some of this visible rust

Congrats on your investment! Through the years I have tried many ways of riding my cars of rust. I know money doesnt grow on trees, but the best true way is to replace the panel, with a Ford item, not repo. I fixed a spot on my 68 coupe at the bottom just behind the door. Cut out rust utill all was left was clean metal........it came back and it was only about 4 X 4. cut it again bigger............it came back.......Rust is like cancer and the only way is to remove it entirely. save yourself some heart ache and replace the quarterpanel..........

Its been a while since I had to buy ford panels. I dont know if ford discontinued them or not. I will check because a buddy of mine has a Mustang restoration parts business and i believe he told me someone bought Ford's dies for their sheetmetal stamps. Let you know soon.
