Power Steering
hi,
on a 1967 Fastback, does it really need power steering or does that take the fun away of driving? It's not a problem putting power steering on it but i just wondered what you thought before I did anything, thanks

I'm personally not a fan of the over-assisted nature of the factory power steering which is why I'm glad I have manual steering on my small block car. That said, if it 's a big block, or a cruiser- yes power steering would be a good thing.

), but I hear that power steering is a huge plus with a nose heavy big block car.
I removed the power steering from my car because it was a leaking POS and doesn't really help with a small block anyway. I cannot say how it feels with the big block but I wouldn't add it if it isn't already there unless you were going with a power rack & pinion setup.
if you mean the 390 boat-anchor will be in there, you'll want PS
small-blocks, nah.

Mustang PS's always leak, whethe a little or a lot. I have it on my 289 and, most of the time I wish I didn't.
Chasing a leak in it this very morning. High pressure leak-dumping fluid all over like it was pouring out of a bucket.
