Petronic distributor

Has anyone put this in the classic mustang. I want to put this in for a more modern ignition yet still looks original.

You could always just get the pertronix ignitor(I, II, or III) setup and install that in your stock distributor.

I installed the Pertronix II in my 73 Century - Ran much better and I didn't have to tool with the "mystery resistor" which was conveniently missing and costing me several sets of points before I could get a shop manual to find out why.

Takes about 20-30 minutes, tops. If I remember right, you need to do a little splicing, maybe electrical tape to protect the wires from vibration going into the distributor, and not much else - pretty much plug 'n play and still looks stock when done.

Yeah I had the Ignitor II on my 67 before I swapped in a 302 with HEI. It looks completely stock except for the 2 wires you have coming out. Install was really easy too.

I think i might just do this instead of spliceing in a new resister. Especialy since you run a new wire that dont have the resister.
