Closed: Newbie trying to value project car candidate

I'm looking at a '67 coupe for a project car, and wondering if there are some adventurous souls who'd be willing to speculate on what this car is worth. All pics are here.

It has rust through both rear quarter panels (below the curve) and is rusted through the passenger floorboard (will need new pan and seat mount "floor". I assume all the cracking of primer areas is due to rust, but it doesn't seem to go through. The engine doesn't run, but I'd probably replace it anyway.

Questions? Estimates?
Thanks.

Followed your link, but it indicates the album is empty.

67 is a great year but unfortunately the coupes aren't worth a hell of a lot even in pristine condition. The fastbacks are always worth a lot but the first gen coupes just don't have that cool factor. The coupes are usually a labor of love and its usually costs way more to restore than you can sell them for. They just don't make great hot rods.

@AlsCobra. Thanks. That's kinda what I've been picking up on. I ended up buying a '66 coupe as a project car so my son and I have something we can do together. The one I bought is in much better condition than the '67 I was considering...I'd call it more of a reconditioning project than a restore project. Our design goal is to end up with a somewhat modernized, classic street driver with a touch of pizzazz. Wish us luck!

Still a good project. If I have any advice, completely modernize the suspension and brakes. Those things sucked back then. Swap over to a rack and pinion and full disks. Don't even bother rebuilding the front end. Enjoy the project and keep us posted.

Good plan for a coupe - AlsCobra hit it on the head. The real value you will get out of the car is not the resale, but the fact you and your son will do it together. Absolutely modernize the brakes and steering if at all possible. After a couple of generations of disc brakes, driving a car with drum brakes in anything other than sedate conditions is almost terrifying.
