that's some scary looking floor pans. they need to be redone correctly if you're
poking at buying it.

I'm planning on doing a full restore on it, but I'm wanting to know what the car is worth as it sits....

Looks like a solid car. The floor pans will need to be worked on. It's a well optioned car (if original). Black paint is sometimes a good cover-up for imperfections, so be careful. I would pay maybe $5,000-$6,000 for it, $8,000 being max. That's just my opinion, someone correct me if you will.

I agree. I wouldn't go over $6,000 on it. Looks like a good project.

Pics to come.

You can get a rough estimate at the NADA website. They seem a little high IMO. With a higher horse 289 and air, they value the car at about 10,700 for low retail. Low retail is normal wear requiring minimal reconditioning. By the pics I would put this car below that. Hope this helps.

Well, he originally was asking $12,000 for the car. I was thinking around $4,000....I've got him down to $4,800. I'm going to try to get him down to $4,500 before I commit.

Honestly, I would say $3-4k would be plenty for that car, but maybe I'm just a cheapskate...

EDIT: It is kinda neat that it appears to have the benchseat, which isn't seen terribly often on Mustangs. I don't think that really affects value one way or another but it is interesting.
