Did you have much trouble putting the 5 speed in? Could you tell me what kind of trans you used? Did the shifter line up with the hole in the floor?

That is one beautiful car. It is very similar to the fastback I unfortunately had to part with this summer, an original rust free 67 GT 390 fastback with the rear ribbed tail panel and a 69 scoop.

Thanks, looks like a lot of good info there. I will do some reading up on this.... Just wondering if anyone has done this with a big block? 390-428
