Question making a 68 Cali Special

I have been asked to convert a stock 68 coupe with a 302 4V, 4spd into a california special. I have seen that the rear lamps and stripes are available, but is there a how to or a good spot to look for that stuff?

well...any of your mail-order Mustang restoration companies like mustangsplus, or Mustangsunlimited should have a lot of the things you are looking for. I also subscribe to Virginia Classic Mustang as well. You are going to need....

'68 Gt Wheels
Tape stripes
Side scoop
Square fog lamps
Tail lights
Deck lid

That should about cover the exterior. Good luck with the Clone!

you can also look up california mustang or mustangs of oklahoma.... they are also very good resto shops that could tell you what stock equipment came on the 68 CS

Take a look at http://www.californiaspecial.com/
The site is dedicated to the Cali Special and the High Country Special, which is what I would personaly build a clone of if I had the ways and means.

combine that with making it a T5 FORD and it would be super rare.. i remember destroying a 302 4 speed T5 when i worked at a junkyard in the late 70`s
