yeah you could install one anytime. but you can get some pretty good ones at autozone or someplace for about ~50 bucks. i just think the power antennas are cooler than the stock aerial is all, somthing about them lowering into the body and disappearing. they also look awesom when they are frenched too, but that may be a bit much on an otherwise stock car with just some bolt ons.
So you would suggest a modern universal type over the ones that you see in the Mustang catalog then? I think as long as I'm straying I might as well, they are a nice touch.

I think I have decided not to relocate it but for one reason only. Since my 3 month old trunk CD changer got totalled in the hit I have been thinking about going with one of those in dash updated units that come with a new bezel these days. The only thing is they all look so modern and I have yet to see one that truly looked at home, especially with a blan stock interior.

Then it hit me, since I deleted my heater core years ago why the heck do I even need the useless control unit anymore. Do you think I can find some type of changer that will fit that opening below my at home looking Kenwood replacement and still be compatible with it? Meaning a unit that plays thru an unused frquency? If I do that instead of a new trunk changer then I think I'll defintly just leave the antenna where it is and go with an electric.

Pak, I'm running a 13 year old FM modulated 6 disc changer in my fastback, and it's performed flawlessly. It runs in-line to the antenna (that I don't even have anymore, lol) and tunes to an unused FM frequency. Works great, sounds great, and I'd reccomend one for sure.
