Pak--Ok, I'll see what is going on. How do I/would I bump start it? (Hangs head in shame.)

That's OK, there is something admirable about someone who never hot wired a car.

To just bump it as in turning it over you can simply complete the connection between your first two posts on the solenoid when facing it (the one on the side that faces the grill and the next one on the front that faces the driver side) and to actually hotwire the car and start it you connect the positive post on battery to the positive post on the coil first (this eliminates the need for the ingnition and key) then bump start with the screwdriver between the solenoid posts as described above.

Once you see how simple it is you will likely live in fear of your car being hotwired for many years. BTW, do not let it run like this for long, you can burn out the coil. The whole point is to just find out if your ignition is faulty or not.

Nothing yet. My 2 year old as well as my wife have the flu. I'm running around like a crazy man!

Hopefully this weekend. Hopefully.

Yes, the thing is deader than Cesear. No bump start, so it has an electrical gremlin somewhere in the system. Time to get out the multi-meter!
