Well, looks like we're going to be putting 15" wheels on the silver bullet, and going with the american racin Torq Thrust IIs. My dad really liked those, so now there's just a few 'options' to figure out....your thoughts are appreciated.

- I like tires with the raised white letters, my dad's not so sure....
- What size wheel/tire do you recommend? 15x7 15x8, etc?

here's a photoshop of what she'll look like:

Is there a price diff anymore if you factor in Tires between 15" and 17" TT2 tire packages?

Other quick thought is that you have done a pretty nice and unique package on the whole car so far... why ruin it with a set of overly common wheels? This car was made to stand out, don't ruin that theme.

Thanks Jay, I appreciate both yer comments, I'll have to look into the pricing thing on the various size combination. I know we'll be buying locally, so I'll have to talk with the shop we'd be getting them from.

As for the 'overly common' choice of wheels, I do tend to agree with you that these style wheels are everywhere, but it's kind of hard to beat em and find something that won't distract from the car....I guess I'd hate to put something different on it, just for the sake of 'pimpin my ride' but honestly, it's hard to find a wheel that gives the car that same muscle car feel as those TTIIs do...

I'm open to suggestions of course, but ultimately it's gotta get approval with the old man.

you folks have given some great feedback over the course of this project (ie. removing the sidescoop), so I appreciate it again in this instance.

Your right it is an interesting car, then you open the door and see the interior. WTH happened in there. I really like the exhaust tip treatment, nice details on the exterior, and even the chrome look to the instrument fascia, but the soft trim is just too far over the edge, IMO.

Your car looks great Bart. I like the TTIIs you've chosen, and I'd go with the 8" width, but you might consider the 2001-2004 Bullitts with a chrome finish.

I like the wheel choice a lot; but I say loose the RWL... Your car is too clean and smooth to clutter it up with such tiny things. Know what I mean?

This was going to be my suggestion as well, get your old school look with a mild update, the newer ullitt rims would like right at home with your car. While I don't think RWL's would look right with Bullitt's. I personally still like them on 14" rims, I can't even imagine what they'd look like just black and I don't care what anyone with an unfinieshed car thinks of that. If they happen to attract roller girl to me all the better.

been listening to a little dire straits lately Pak? personally i like RWL and my car will have them as well, but they actually look good with my old 80's BBS style snowflake wheels, and that's actually the look i'm after, kind of a retro pro-touring car, or more correctly the precursor to the modern PT cars the original canyon carvers of the 80's and early 90's

I'll be the dissenting voice. I like the TT's. Around here, they AREN'T common, but larger, flashier rims are. Keep it simple, keep it from drawing away from the car, keep it in line with the car you built and get something that you like.

BTW, I like Raised White Letters, since I'm going against the grain. Nyah, nyah, nyah!

Thanks everybody for your thoughts & opinions.... I agree the Intro wheels look great, and if we were going with a larger diameter rim, they would very well be an option.

I think part of the reason we're going with the TTIIs is that we're getting 15s and these other wheels probably wouldn't look as good at that size? If we were going up to 17s the door would be a lot more open for these ideas.

Stroked66, your car is absolutely awesome, do you have a website, or other higher rez photos of your car that I might steal your wheels from and photoshop them onto our car, just for grins?
