I switched out the bushings and the idler arm this morning....

Getting th bushing out was cool...the instruction said the BURN them off! So I did...Propane torch!! everything else was pretty much cake...but getting the new bushings in required quite a bit of lube, a hammer, screwdriver, and a floor jack...it was a tight fit. So off to the allignment shop and I'm ready to roll!

Well...I have an appointment for my allignment for next tuesday...which is probably for the best since its snowing again here and highs will be in the 30s through the weekend...but I really cant tell a difference since the bushings and idler arm....but the new tires made it feel like a brand new car!..and they were first. the steering is a bit tighter though....(sweet)..and I attribute that to the new bushings..cause the old ones were trash.

So I'm taking advantage of the non driving weather to inststall a new head unit...bring on the hack saw!!

Got her all lined up and it drives pretty darn well! Only thing....when it was at the shop, the guys found out that I had a blown wheel cylinder and a bad universal joint....so more things to fix...but if it needs to be done I have to do it! But shes good to drive...just stuff for the future!

both are cheap and easy aprts to replace though. cylinders can be gravity bled, and the u-joint just need a little elbo grease once the shaft is out. sounds like she is coming together
