Please help. Ive checked high and low in the block and there is nothing. Nothing in the pan as well. Nothing in timing cover as well. Where the heck could it be?

I'm... not sure I follow you. Might help if you stated year of car, engine, and transmission type, as well as which dipstick you're lookin' for.

The hole for a dipstick is usually in the side of the engine block fairly low near the oil pan. For the oil that is. Depends on the engine, but I want to say it's on the left side of both an I6 or a V8. There is a tube that's literally just stuck in it, and that's where the dipstick goes in. You really don't want to NOT have the tube.

For an automatic transmission, there's a big tube that snakes it's way up to the right side near the firewall. Similar placement on the transmission itself.

Both are bracketed and bolted to the motor to keep the tube in place.

The dipstick for the power steering is in the cap, if you have such an animal that has one, or there isn't one, it's just... full or not.

There are no other dipsticks for the car, all are level checked per specs, brake fluid, rear end gear fluid, battery electrolyte, radiator anti-freeze, or by pressures, i.e, the air conditioning.

Hope that helps!

Edit: Ok, now I feel a little dumb, because I didn't see the other thread, as I use the 'New Posts', and wandered in here.

Since I've typed it HERE, I'm not typing it THERE, but please, in the future, do NOT start other threads about the same problem, K? Thanks.
