We just put the carb back on the 302 the other day and had it running for about 5 minutes when it just quit.

It cranks just fine but it doesn't appear to have any spark getting through the coil.

I checked and have 12 volts coming from the ignition to the MSD 6AL.

I have a VOM and can check the ohms through the coil, but I'm not sure what ohm rating I should be looking for across the coil.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears (eyes).

Thanks,

Do you have a multi tester? If so you should be able to check every single connection from battery to distributor until you find the power loss. Maybe the wire from coil to distributor is the issue, try swapping it, check your rotor. Without testing each lead you will really just be shooting in the dark. Heck, it could all be as simple as just a poor ground from the block to the battery which has been known to happen almost instantly and with no warning.
