Hood lip bent

The front edge (lip) of my hood is bent down to the point where you can only fit a finger between the hood and the grill pony. It REALLY irritates me as it looks horrible. I also really don't want a new hood as there is no indication of damage. Would a body shop be able to help without costing as much as a new hood? Anyone have this before?

Um in my opinion it actually looks really good. I'm actually going to have someone extend mine down a little to give it a more aggressive looking front end. Stock mustang hoods actually go up not curve down at the front. Did they add any sheet metal to it or just curl it down a little. Sorry doesnt really help you but I think it makes it look mean. Do you like the front corral and pony? If not yank it off. Shoot maybe I'll trade you hoods lol

I would think a body shop could move it no problem.

Hmmm...never actually thought anyone might think it looked good. Thanks. There is no modification, it looks like a run in with something years ago, like BA suggested...and it used to be silver blue (correct color name?). I absolutely love the corral and pony, and for that matter the stock hood look which is what gets me I guess. To me, it's on of the things that defines these model years. Even if they can bend it up a couple inches I'll be happy; I doubt it will ever be back to 'normal'.

Having never had body work done, and assuming the paint doesn't crack, what would one expect to pay for such a job? $200? $500?
