Explorer heads
You need to find out if they are GT40 or GT40P heads. If they are GT40 they will change out, but that is a roller engine if I remember right. For GT40P you have to have special headers to put them in due to spark plug clearance issues.
3 bars on the front of the head is GT40 and 4 bars is the P.

You may run into trouble with push rod length with then GT40 or P heads on a non roller engine. But yes they would be less trouble if they were the GT40 set. Then you could use your existing headers.
They are GT40 heads but to know for sure you can identify them.
Go to post #7 of my tech thread I have all the info on the GT40 & "P" head and the Gt40 intake with pics on how to I.D. the heads and yes these are roller motors.
