Hello, I am writing from Turkey. There are so many fan of mustang here. I have 66 hardtop Mustang. I don't know the engine number of my car. How can I get it ? I need it immediately. Is it possible to get it via VIN code ? If not, where is engine number located ?

the fifth digit of the VIN number is the engine code. should be T=200 6 cyl.,C=289 2 bl., A=289 4 bl or K=289
high performance. Not sure if that is the engine number you are speaking of.

This number should be on the driver's door near the latch on the side.

There are 6 digits at the end of VIN after C like .....C123456. So you mean that those numbers with "c" are the engine code, right ?

the letter C is the engine code. 289 2 barrel engine.
