Anyone ever thought of fitting a 1966 hood with 67/68 blinker sections (making a 1966 blinker hood)? I've always liked the "reversed scoop" look and thought it a shame that we 65/66 owners didn't have the option. Would it be that tough of an operation? How do y'all think it would look?

They make fiber glass hood that fits the 64-66 from Mustangs plus that looks close. I don't like the way it looks but, you might. Check this out and see what you think.

I think that's the exact opposite of what he's thinking of though, I believe he is reffering to the stock looking one that occasionally has the directionals in them as well.

BTW, while I'm thinking of it, does anyone know of someone that makes just the side vents to insert in any hood, like the ones shown on the 67' and 68" Gt 500 hoods?

I like the IDEA Dan! You'd have to get a 67TS hood and a 66 hood and see how much difference there really is... People have done much more difficult things!

That's a great idea! I've always liked those hoods too. I can't imagine it'd be that hard to graft them onto a 65-66 hood. Never seen it done either.

Yeah - that's what I was thinking. Now all I need is a generous forum member to donate a couple hoods for my research. If things go well, I'll give back the trimmings...
