Brenspeed Dyno Day

Welp...I finally got my car on a dyno after owning her for over 5 years. A couple of the S197 guys were getting together for the thing, and I didn’t live too far away so I figured I'd take the opportunity to test the car! Lots of cool cars there and it was great to meet the guys! The results were little disappointing, but there are a couple of silver linings.

On my best pull:

157.49 RWHP
217.91 RWTQ

Weather conditions: 73.33 Degrees F, Barometric Pressure: 29.33, Humidity: 29%

HOWEVER....the guys at the shop said that I needed to have my timing adjusted badly because my curve was so flat. I peaked at 3750 RPM and it never fell off. He said that I have a good 15 more rwhp in there waiting to be unlocked if everything was timed up well. ANOTHER silver lining is that my car really performs well on the street....(probably because it only weighs ~2300lbs)...so anything that makes an improvement in my performance numbers will be greatly amplified on the street!

I'll get my prinout scanned and posted as soon as I can.

Oh....and as far as I know, I won the "lowest hp of the day" award...a duster...consolation prizes always make you feel better.

It was good to meet you today codeman. The car sounds and looks great. It may not make the best numbers, but it's still a nice car.

Glad to hear you made it back to SB OK. Hope to run into you again some time soon.

That's not to bad. 196.8hp and 272.4tq at the flywheel. Get it timed and such you'll be past the 200hp mark giving you less than 11.5lb/hp, which isnt a bad number to have!

I think I'm looking pretty good...I looked for some numbesr on other engines, and I found this build....and I make more power than this motor.
