Exclamation 70 Mach1 Data Tag

Im in a problem... I need to rebuild the data tag on the drivers side door of a 1970 mach1... and I dont have the data codes... Could someone help me please!?... what I need are the:

-Body Code (Mach1 fastback)
-Color Code (Grabber Orange)
-Trim Code (Mach1 interior all Black)
-Axle Code (dunno... 351 manual trany 4 speed)
-Trans Code (dunno... 351 manual trany 4 speed)

Hope 2 hear from someone soon!...

GREAT!... got the body, color, and trim...
BUT!!... how do I get the axle and trans code?...

ANYONE?

if you have the standard wide ratio 4-speed it is code 5. if you have have a close ratio its code 6. most common is code 5.
rear end code you need to know the rear end gear ratio.
Probably a 3:25 ratio ? if it is a tracion lock that would be code R if its an open rear end its code 9. Originally there would be a metal tag close to where the driveshaft bolts up that will list the ratio.
you will also need a DSO code for the data tag. DSO=where the car was shipped to. (city) if it was originally Mexico probably in the 90-99.

It was imported over from the states... I already figured out the DSO... now about the trans code... I think its a standar 4 speed... so it must be a code 5 then... Im gona check if it has track lock...

Hi, why don't you get a "Marti-Report" from Kevin Marti with your VIN#?

There you can also get the correct data plates for your door.
