68 sprint cars

I am just starting to restore my pony when someone asked me if it was a sprint car and all I could do is look dumb. from what I can gather it might be as it has a pop gas cap with no gt emblem and it has p/s and power front disc brake, I am the 3rd owner of my pony and I was told it came from fomoco with the disc's. it has the 289 w/c-4 tranny the 2.79 rear end and a colour code of M5 a trim code of 21A and a dso code of b7 with the hood w/turn indicators. if someone can help me shed some light on this before i buy a marti report I would be very happy

A Marti report will confirm if yours is one.

ok i thank you and i have tried looking at that website and it just raised more questions my car is under restoration and i don't think i have a pick of it before i tore it down but it seems to match the info i have and the body looks identical so is there a way to tell without getting the marti report or is that the only way

Was the C-shaped side striping paint or chrome?
