:bang:just got a 67 Mustang coupe,doors worked fine untill a few days ago , now the drivers door will not open by key or by going inside, any one have any ideas?

 

Maybe the duke boys came by and welded the door shut!

You might have something wrong with the latch or one of the rods. If you can take the door panel off and inspect the rods and try to pull the one that unlatches the door. If that doesnt work then I dont know what to tell you to do.

 

might be the rod going to the out side handel mine did this the rod was jammed in between the glass and the door

You defintly don't want to snap the key off or anything but it may even be worth trying to squirt some WD-40 or graphite into the lock to make it just loose enough to open it once more with a key so you can get the panel off. Also, try having someone open it from the inside at the same time you turn the key.

A slim jim would open it in a second, they are illegal though of course and you can only get them from a cop usually (as I did). Triple A or a tow company would have one and you could have them pop it open too, there is always the risk of scratching the glass with a slim jim though.

 

This happened to me a few months back. Put the window down and start working at it with a clothes hanger. Once open, pull the panel and find out which little clip came loose. There are several. Mine was the one connecting the outside handle **** to the latch.
