do whatever you wish with it .. it will always be worth what you invest even if it is`nt a shelby or K code car .. just dont spend over 25 grand on it ...make it a shelby clone ... get all the oooohs and aaahhhhhs ...

Ford Granada was basically a Mustang under the skin, right?

Like HOSS429 said - do what you want. Doing a resto (for me at least) is like having another kid - they take time, money, dedication, money... Will be a long time if I ever do it again.

Just curious - what color and style is the 65? Was it a base car or something special? My personal decision would be based on what it was. If I had a Galaxie 500 it would be completely redone; if it were an XLGT nicely equipped, it would be almost original.

Use 15 by 7's or 15 by 8 inch wheels. I have the same setup on my 1967 Mustang. You may need to grind down the very tip of the end of the upper a-arm (the lip), especially if the suspension was replaced. No big deal, just don't want you to be grinding the inside of the rim down on a full tilt turn. Here is mine if you were interested in seeing my setup. Ask me about any other ideas you may have, I may be able to help you out.

You cannot use the original 14" rims because they will be too small with the brake calipers (I know this from experience) Fifteens almost always look good on an old Mustang, counting on the stance being right.

16x8. Definitely. And some Coopers.

The granada discs are direct swap items for '66-69, all day every day. You can mount whatever would fit a '65-69 on them, as long as they're the correct bolt pattern and offset, as well as proper size. Your biggest concern, of course, is clearing the calipers, rear wheel well area, and turning rubs.

I put 15x7, with 205/65 R15s. The 15x7s were direct replacements for the current rims I had, and I just measured the widest dang tire I could fit on them. Worked good, except the Armstrong steering was fun at a stop...

You can read about my Muskrat for ideas, if you like, here. Maybe it'll give ya ideas. She wasn't your every day Mustang, for sure.

While it's not a V8 with the spindle swaps, she was fun. And pretty. And I miss her all the time, but Awesome helps with that. She's not jealous, she understands, and I believe her and Muskrat woulda gotten along famously.
