My project car did not come with an engine or transmission so I have decided to go with a 5.0 and T5 from an 86 GT. I have the donor car and have removed the engine, transmission and wiring harness. Has anyone done this swap? Can you think of anything else I need? I'm about to get rid if the donor car and I want to make sure that I don't need anything else. Any advice for this engine swap? Thanks.

 

Hi, I have done the same. I have a 86 5.0, that I made in to a GT 40 motor for my 64. Not done yet but close.

Hello im new to the site and I am going to do the same thing but I have a 66 with a inline 6. Have a mustang 2 as a doner car. And could use some advise also. What do I have to have off tje doner to get this done
