1969 Vert
Good Day All,
Well Im looking at buying a 69 convertable. It's in fairly good shape with power roof...That works...Power steering/brakes and a 351W. He's asking $8900.00(Can). There is a bit of rust on it but the floors and torque box's are solid. He has all new (In the box) marker lights and tail light bezels as well as a new rear bumper and door panels.
Basically my question is, does $8900.00 (Can) seem a little high ? I don't have pics of it so I know it kinda tough to say without seeing it. But please give me any input you may have. The car runs fine, fires up right away and sounds great.
Thanks !!

For numbers to match, looks like you'd have to add a complete paint job to the price of that California Special.

get a professional to check the car over extremely well, up on a lift. Rust hides everywhere in these cars and if this car is in Canada it is suspect for torque boxes, rocker panels, cowl, etc.

Thanks gc65restomod , If I can get the 69 fo 7k then I'll be happy. I know it's gonna need a good resto, but I can do most of that myself. The GT/CS would have been my choice but with the different motor and the fact its been hit hard on the side turned me off of that one. Plus the interior is trashed. So I'll make the offer on the 69 vert this weekend. If I get it I will post some pics.
Im looking forward to owning a 1st gen Mustang again. I just sold my 05 and am looking forward to having a car I can actually work on !! :-)

Well I got it !!!! I am now the proud owner of an "M" code 69 vert. And all the numbers match !!! I got it for 7k. Ya it needs a lot of work but that's what I want to do. Its in not too bad shape and it runs great. I had it on the hi-way today and it did very well. I'll drive it for the summer and in September it will go into the shop.
Its great to be a classic stang owner again !!

Here are a few pics. I've been driving her and it runs great. Gotta love the rumble of that V8 !!. Resto will start in the fall. Until then I think I'll just enjoy driving it. With all the rattles that come with an old car
