Stuck mater cylinder cap
Stuck mater cylinder cap
So my single reservor master cylinder cap has been stuck on for quite some time...I must have just gotten in on so tight that I cant get it off. I've been driving it, knowing that one day I'll eventually have to get it off when I run out of fluid, but I now have no break pressure, so I'm a guessin I'm out of fluid now and I need to refill....anyone gotten any Ideas how to get this thing off? I've tried everything.
Have you tried tapping all around it with a small hammer and then taking strap wrench or a large pipe wrench to it?
Really, you should consider an upgrade to a dual.
It's not that hard a job or expensive and it would be safer.
Besides, you wouldn't have to take the cap off if the fluid drained out already.

Got it off!...you wont believe it...After trying for months to get it off...my guitar playing brother in law came over and pops it right off with his buff, long fingers....made me feel pretty weak.
...for the record...i had at least 5 other people give it a try, and they couldnt get it off either....

My buddies kid me about, "How can you play so well with such large fingers?".
I tell them it just makes it easier.
