1969 grande build thread

Well now that I'm actually making some good progress I figured I'd start a build thread! This past week I changed out the whole front end, from the tie rods to control arms and springs, and I'm very impressed! I got the big block front end kit from cj pony pats and it's a huge improvement. Here's some pics of the old and new parts!! The only thing left for steering is that there is a little by of play in the wheel, any suggestions?

Thanks man, it's driving like a totally different car now! It still has some play in the steering wheel though so I think the steering box could be in need of some adjustments, just one more thing to add to the list! Haha

Ok guys so I've decided it's time to tackle the vinly roof befell it gets too bad, i found cancer pretty much all in the center but not past that so I'm thinking that if I can sand down the rest and stop the rust I can save the roof, but I can't get the **** glue to come off the metal. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction of what to do?? Here are some pics of the process

might use a heat gun and a scraper to get the glue off. Did you replaced both tie rods?? Did you check the pitman arm? Does your steering box have a nut with a stud coming through it on top?

Replaced both tie rods, but I didn't check the pitman arms, I believe the steering box is good but I will check it out. Thanks for the help! And as far as the roof, do you think some 400 grit sand paper would do??
