1968 Mustang GT/CS
Alright, well I've got some free time so I can introduce myself and the car, along with some pictures as was requested...
My personal car is a 1996 Mustang Cobra convertible, but I will be putting up a thread for that one sometime in the future in the SN-95 forum.
This car is my Dad's and he's had for probably 25 or more years. When I came into the family the Mustang was parked. It wasn't started for years at a time, and was driven once when we moved to the new house. It proceeded to sit there for quite a bit more time despite my constant protesting. I did not have the technical know how or the money at the time to just start fixing thing or replacing things on it while he was at work. I've gotten him a 1/18 diecast replica of his, along with a Marti report (no it's not some lost 428 California Special). Well, while I was home over break I requested that he get it out for a red white and blue Ford picture with some of our cars in front of the house. Not only did we do that, but we spent my birthday working on it. We got it started up, cleaned the engine up, and put a new fuel pump in it. Not only did it run, but it ran really well and we took it for an hour drive with absolutely no problems for well over an hour. It was like a dream come true. I just hope that I've helped relight the spark for that car I know he had and maybe he will continue to work on it...
and the promised pics:

And the 1/18 of his car:
Thanks for looking!

Yes, it is a real GT/CS. They could be ordered with every engine option available in 1968. There were a few 428's made, but they are pretty rare. My Dad's is a factory 302 4v.

Looks great! An older friend of mine has one that looks almost exactly like this one except with a 289, stock wheels, and a white interior and vinyl top. A really neat car that I'd love to get my hands on someday.

I believe there were only 3 Gt/CS 428's made and 215 Gt/CS 390's ,,, according to Marti Report... I've never seen a real 428 Gt/CS in person,,,
The only one i've ever seen online is owned by a guy named Scott $#&%

Nice GT/CS and history. Welcome to the forum from Flintville Tennessee. I owned a red 302 GT/CS for a very short time almost 20 years ago. kennyg
