New Rear end and Trans in my 65

I just picked up my 65 after having the rear end, and Trans overhauled and a posi put in. I went from a gear ratio of 2.78 to 3.25. The car really flys now, feels a lot stronger!

Looks like this was the posi they put in. Anybody heard of this company, or know anything about this posi?

They didn't do a real good job painting the rear end. But it works pretty well. Now, I've rebuilt the whole drive train including having the U-joints replaced.

Here's a pic of the old ring, and pinion gear. It doesn't really look too bad to me.........

You're welcome! It's amazing how much faster it gets up to 60 now that it has that higher ratio rear end.

No thanks! RPM's on the freeway would have been too high! As it is it's around 3000 at 70 MPH!

I wouldn't want to go any higher then 3.25 unless I hadd a AOD, or a 5 speed!
