1968 351w EFI swap mustang
#1
Hello fellas
I working on putting a 351 in a 1968 mustang from a 1989 ford bronco for now I wanted to see if I could run it with the bronco harness and computer with a t-5 transmission what I was looking for was what headers do I use if I would later want to upgrade to a 6 speed transmission for clearances and could i run a D9E2 EEC with a manual transmission

Interesting. My '67 has a 351W out of a police car. Carbureted, it fits pretty nicely. I've yet to see where anyone has fit a 5.8 truck intake under a '67-'68 hood.
I swapped the 5.0 engine out of my MAF EFI F150 in favor of a roller cam 5.8 truck and like it just fine. Not sure I'd want the same combo in my Mustang.
If that's a C6 transmission I think I see in the sideways picture and not an E4OD, then the computer should be fine with a five speed. There's no connection between the computer and a C6 where an E4OD is entirely computer controlled. The software won't be optimal but you're working with a speed density EFI setup which is pretty far from optimal already, so no worries.
I know the solid gold unobtanium generation one Ford Lightning intakes are a bit smaller than the standard truck intakes but I don't know is they are actually smaller enough to help with fitting them into a car.
