Why would anyone make Ranchero out of Mustang?

 

Whats up with the tailights. Are they from a falcon? It might not be so bad with stang taillights!

 

Both Falcon and Ranchero had that kind of tail-lights.

 

it would have been ok if he was saving two rust buckets i guess. but i dont think he did. man this gets me pissed.i cant beleive he stared w/ a fastback

What, you ain't never seen a Mustang grafted onto the bottom of a Bronco? Heck, they even did it to a Shelby GT500KR convertible in The Thomas Crown affair.

 

i hadnt seen one in so long, that i kinda forgot they existed.

 

That's the best medicine. We would all do well to block such atrocities from our memmories.

 

i could see it being cool, but it would take some major surgery. i think the taillights and the "bed" are what kills it, otherwise it looks ok. i once saw a fairmont that had been turned into a ranchero and it lookd pretty cool. i'd like to do one like that someday, but not a mustang.

 

Ford thought of reviving the Ranchero based on the Fairmont chassis and had a few built. The new name... Ford Durango
