that hood is garbage...ruins the entire effect. Looks like one of those godawful AMC Rambler "mail slot" hoods in the late 1960s.

Get back on the bus and strap your helmet on tighter.

That car is a 1967 GT500E Super Snake, IMO it's B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Minus the mail slot hood. But it was the only one made, 1 of 50 with a base price of 7500 bucks. Hence there only being one made. That car was MADE in 1967.

if its good enough for Carol shelby to put his stamp of approval on it, it make me think im not crazie for thinking that ...
If that's all it takes you can pick up his 80's work with Dodge pretty cheap now ... the man is all about the buck. It's spelled $helby. If Hyundai wrote a big enough check he would have his name on the Tiburon at this point.

Here's the 67 GT500 Super Snake. No tacky hood scoop, no add-on body panels, no "E" after the GT500 either...

...so its basically a GT500 with the 427 MedRiser. okaaaaaaaaaaay, cool, but I bet there were a dozen Ford dealers in 1967 that would have been happy to put a 427 in your GT500 in exchange for a check

Correct, that last pic is the one and only white and blue Super Snake, the red one is just another cheap Elenockoff. Sure, I can say it looks good sans the scoop, but the original looks great, so if I was going to mod a coupe or vert I would still choose to put on the original shelby glass over the modded ele glass anyday of the week becasue I never settle for good when I can have great. My dream car is the one of one 67' Shelby vert that was recently restored and I guarantee that I will clone that car someday, I just wasn't ready to do so yet which is why I bought a 69' vert for the time being. It was obviously influenced by the 67' shelby for the nose at leats and was the closest production Mustang to the Shelby look I so desired.

:nono: i don't have much time but i would like to point out that, this car is not the super snake you were thinking of that was made in 1967 this is another mustang with an E kit (this is a GT500E) which is made by unquie performance http://www.uniqueperformance.com/supersnakeGT500E.aspx
but i am in a hurry and got to run just thought i'd through that out there

ok well i think just about everything he has done with Ford had been awesome and in my opinion there isn't much in the 80's that were truly phenomenal... but i think for him to add it to the list of shelby mustangs produce under his name means something but i maybe wrong maybe he is about money but i have so much respect of the man after producing in my opinion some of the sweetest cars ever produced...

Unfortunatly I don't have a car ,just trucks ...my friends told me Craig get a car so my pic is the 2005 mustang GT and I am saveing up for it .Now the Mercury M100 is a truck only built in Canada ..looks just like the ford model for that year and early models of mercury were more appointed than a regular Ford 1/2 ton .In 1968 Mercury pickup came to an end in the spring ,now know one knows how many were made .It is speculated that only 3 or 4 thousand of these trucks were built from m100 to m300(m100 1/2 ton to m300 1 ton)mine was custom factory ordered with the Camper special leaf and spring package first time offered by Ford in 68 making the truck even more rare .It has only 48,000 origional miles on it and was onlt used to go camping so it has never seen a winter. It is unrestored in these picks checkit out.

Hey Shibbiestang, I agree about the GT500E supersnake, hence my display pic, WHAT A SWEET CAR. It's not like any other "E's" I've seen.
