Eleanor is like a song you like but then gets overplayed a million times a day in the radio. I'm not going to say I hate eleanor but it does get old pretty quick. It lost all its essence and just looks bland, especially the coupe above which just kills it.

The problem...well one of them at least...is that the car's suspension wasn't set properly. When changing rim sizes, for instance going from small to large, you still keep the overall diameter of the wheel, thus shortening the sidewall. The rim gets bigger, the sidewall smaller, therefore compensating one another, and keeping the diameter of the package the same. So most likely the suspension was redone, wheels put on, and the word adjusting not even mentioned.

I love the eleanor look i don't beleive you should be spending that kinda money on it but i think getting the kit or parts of the kit to make you stang different from the others in your town the e or e2 kits are the way to go there isn't a sweeter lookin mustang if you ask me...but that is all my opinion

It's an instant classic with that beefie muscle car look and fastback design, which makes the car look like its going fast even when standing still ...no wonder it was a hit . B)

i don't care what anyone says about eleanor clones... coupes..... E's or E2's i likem i don't see how you couldn't the car is beautiful... and people say it is over done? so what isn't? i mean if you are going for concors stock and want it to look like it came out of the factory thats awesome and i think that is great! but if you want a restomod i think the E kits are awesome and the best way to go but that is all my opinon...

....i mean i plan on getting the E2 front nose cone for my car and also the california special style rear deck lid just because it already is far from ever being stock and a would not trying to make it look stock if i could much more easily make it look like a bad hiney resto...MOD!...but again thats my opinion
EDIT: ADDED THE SIDE VIEW OF THE sinister stang (E2) mustang!

After looking at the picture for a while, I've decided I don't mind the car so much...it's just a few things about it.

Ride height
Wheel diameter
Hallibrand knock-offs
color
excessive hood bulge

If all these things were fixed, I'd be alot more excited about it.

I agree that that particular car doesn't sit right at all!.... but i was just saying that i love the eleanor kit (e, e2) in general.... this one could have been done better and could be easily fixed

Plain and simple, the original Shelby design is perfect, to most stangers it is simply the stick by which all others are measured, it just don't get no better. Eleanor is fine as a one of Chip Foose custom as it should be but not as a mass produced car even at limited quantities, especially when authorized as "legit" by Shelby. I look at it this way, let's take Vince Vaughn for example. I really like the guy, I think he's great but even so, I would never like the remake of Psycho better than the original. Sure it's in color, can use bad language these days and even can show nudity, but the original still held water to date and did not will nto ever require re-making to make it more perfect than it was, that is just a fact, some things can not be improved ever. I expect no less when they try to remake ***** Wonka or the Wizard of Oz. No level of high tech wizardry can ever outshine a true classic regardless of what genre or industry we discuss.

These are my opinions only, I'm not getting on my Elewhore soap box, that has gotten me into trouble at way too many places, I am simply stating how I feel so please no one take offense if you differ.

i agree with you to a point there is nothing i would like more than a orignal shelby.... THEY ARE PERFECT.... that i agree with..... all i am saying is that i also like the e and e2 look i am not trying to say its an improvement on the GT500 or anything.... i just think of it as a body kit for classic mustangs that in my opinion looks good!.... i would never put the kit on a shelby....
but i would on a regular coupe or fastback....but hey i see where u are going with the not needing to improve on something that is already perfect... i agree...you don't need to improve the shelby.... but i don't see anything wrong with wanting to make your fastback or coupe different aslong as it looks good and the e and e2 kits look.....most of the time.. if its good enough for Carol shelby to put his stamp of approval on it, it make me think im not crazie for thinking that
i think that Eleanor has done nothing but good to the Mustang enthuasis ... it deff got people more interest in classic mustangs again u can see that in what these are selling for which i think is crazie.... but hey that just means the demand of our cars is higher anyways this is all my opinion i am not trying to make anyone agreee with me or change what u thnk about the E kits if you don't like them its cool thats ur preferance....

but u really don't think this car looks good?
editexcept for the ulgy hood)
