1966 Eleanor Coupe?
Too many "Eleanor" clones have been made! I liked it at first - mainly because I like the fastbacks from the '60s. But there have been so many knock-offs, that I am sick of it.
To try to make an automatic '66 coupe into one just doesn't look right, at all. Although it is better than the 4X4 ones I've seen, imo.

Why do people keep trying? Nobody likes that car!

You don't personally have to like the car... but a large group (of generally wealthy people) seem to, even at ridiculous prices.

Okay . . . I've never messed w/ suspension. I do agree it looks like it rides high.
As a coupe, this thing just really, really looks wrong. It will be interesting to see if anyone actually bids the $48K for it.

NO... it's because the guy does not know how to level a car out properly... look at the fender to wheel gaps. I can put 18s on a car and not move it up a bit (I'd move it down still).

Agree. The guy doesn't understand how to adjust ride height. I've got the same size wheels on mine...
Hope that same lack of attention to detail isn't indicative of the rest of the car...
It's not something I would do. That said, I appreciate the time and $$$ dedicated to making it into something that hopefully the owner gets a lot of joy out of. Overall I vote like it, though it's not for me
GT350CLONE,
That is not even nice. Putting a picture of your beauty next to the "eleanor" just makes that eleanor look so, so, so bad!
I didn't like it before, seeing your vehicle next to it makes it look so much worse.
Let's see if it works the same putting mine "side-by-side" with it.

[/b][/quote]i have to say GT350, your car is, amazing. i love that car. nice work.
I really don't like it. A 66 doesn't go for an Eleanor look. And indeed it does ride high, maybe it is a new hobby instead of the known lowriders we now have the "highriders"
As for the "real" Eleanor goes, I saw two in Nashville and I wasn't very much empressed....give me the classic look always !!
Duhler and GT350clone: your cars are A LOT nicer !

While I do not like that particular car nor do I have any love for Eleanor in general, I do think modding something other than yet another 67/68 fastback is more in line with what this hobby is about, so I can respect that much. I just can't wait for this craze to bottom out though so I can start laughing at all the fools.
Me thinks if the Eleanor kit had a "best" body to use on it would be the 67/8s... little better:

I'd do somebody a better deal than that, and mine's a fastback!
