Thanks, I had to do some soul searching to finally go out and find a fastback. I was after this car for four years as it sat in this guys garage. it was a long cat and mouse game but well worth it in the end. When I finish this one I am going to get another one for a 03 cobra motor swap....

I have 4 Mustangs at home at this time including a 06 GT. This '69 is my favorite of all time. It is Candy apple red, has black interior, 351 Windsor, FMX, Power Steering, Power disk brakes, and a console. Up grades are 15” Magnum 500’s, a hood scoop with turn signals and a chin spoiler. It only has 83K and still runs great Never had the motor worked on except carb & water pump.

Hi all,

seems to be a good opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Arne and I`m from Germany. I found this forum by surfing through the web and I was absolutely fascinated about the high level of knowledge exchanged within the community as well as the large variety of different people. So I kind of had to register to this forum immediately.
I`m 38 years old and have been driving US muscle cars since I got my license. I just sold my `71 Ranchero (429 CJ Interceptor with lots of mods for the drag strip) and got myself a `66 Mustang Coupe; I`m currently working on it to make it kind of Retro project with a complete tube frame chassis, Chris Alston 9" rear end and 4-link, A.R.T front suspension, big Wilwood disk brakes, Alden shocks, 17" Torque Thrust II`s, shaved door handles, a complete one-piece fiberglas front of Unlimited products and 4,4L BMW V8 of a late model 7 series. As it will take another year to get it finished and back on the road I do need to have some other toy to make it over the time,.....so I`m about to sell my 7 series Bimmer to buy me 2006 Stang.
I guess there`s a lot I can learn from you guys, but I`d also be more than happy to help whenever possible. If anyone is going to Germany and plans to pass by in the area of Hannover,.....just give me a note; you`re more than welcome.

Cheers

Arne

Well I don't own a classic stang anymore but i thought i'd share my old 1965. I bought this car when i was 15 and my dad and i redid the whole body and paint on it... these pictures were shortly after it was redone as you can see the fender emblems are gone and the rocker panel wasn't attached.

I was stupid and sold it when i was 18 to buy a 1999 GT and i regret it now...

If anyone has seen this car i'd love to buy it back dispite it being a 200 6 cyl with C4 auto.

Hey thanks, I just rebuilt the 351C, it's punched out .040 over with SpeedPro forged pistons, stock rods and crank. I haven't chosen new heads and a cam yet. The car is currently undergoing a restoration by me, new passenger floorboard and global west subframe connectors. I'm gonna go restomod with a 5-speed and hopefully 4-link out back.

Hi all.

My wife and I are the proud owners of this 1965 fastback. It is currently powered by a 393W stroker moter backed by a t-56 6-speed and detroit locker with 4.30 gears. Still some small detail work to be done, but it's getting there.

Here's a little sound clip of the car: http://media.putfile.com/65Revs

[attachmentid=48069] I have owned a 1965 Ford T-5 for about six years now. The last thing I need to finish this project is a set of 4 Hubcaps. As you can see in the Picture it has the Mustang ones installed. Can anyone help?

The other Horses in the corral are:

1) 1959 Ford Taunus 17M 2 Dr.
2) 1962 Ford Falcon Futura 2 Dr.

Arin,

That is a nice ride as well ! Had one. Took second place in the BURN OUT competition in Lincoln, NE. Then a friend owning a '84 Bronco II decided we should drop the Bronco and set the Cobra on top. So we came out of the shop with a Cobra II X II all four tires smokin’. We then held First Place for two years. I just love the goose bumps !
